What is an infographic?
It’s a graphic which portrays information with images, icons, data and very little copy. That’s the simple answer; a closer look though, reveals a whole lot more!
The many benefits of an infographic
Infographics make the complex simple
Infographics can help businesses in sectors that many feel are complex (such as financial services) to communicate more effectively. If you want to help your audience absorb important details quickly and easily, don’t underestimate the simple power of the infographic.
The Twitter infographics below for the clinical consensus created awareness about COVID-19 preventative treatments for the immunocompromised. By splitting the content across several posts, it helped spread the word and increased participation from other medical professionals. The example is only for design purposes, as the findings in this field are constantly changing.
Infographics are the perfect sales aid
Infographics which highlight a business’s features and benefits can set them apart from the competition. This is invaluable for premium brands who might otherwise struggle to justify a higher value product or service.
Infographics can generate more traffic to your website
Social media infographics are quick, easy and have the power to stop a scroller in their tracks. Posting an infographic highlights your business’s credentials at a glance and encourages your readers to find out more on your website!
Infographics help position you as the expert
Delivering insightful and engaging content consistently not only builds trust and familiarity, it also helps to position you as the expert.
The example below is one of a number of infographics created for immunocompromised patient campaign group, Evusheld4theUK. The group wanted to open conversations with key decision makers at NICE so they could influence change for the immunocompromised. By ensuring their brand identity and messaging was consistent they soon became recognised as the go-to expert in their field. This allowed them to confidently highlight the benefits of AstraZeneca’s COVID preventative drug for the immunocompromised, Evusheld.
Infographics are attention grabbing!
Attracting the attention of your audience in the digital world has never been more challenging. Therefore, ensuring your infographics are playful, engaging and informative allows your brand to stand out to the right people, for the right reasons.
As Evusheld4theUK’s campaign evolved, they felt that the name no longer suited the cause. They decided to change their name to “Forgotten Lives” and wanted some launch materials. Together, we decided to create a simple set of Facebook and Twitter infographics released over a 3 day period to build anticipation and renewed awareness for the campaign.
FISCCO wanted a new brochure to communicate the connections they had with both regulators in London and Middle Eastern financial markets. The infographic below includes landmarks from London and the Middle East with a joining bridge, visualising that core message simply and elegantly.
Infographics can increase brand credibility and attract your ideal client/audience.
A business that fully understands it’s audience can use infographics to convey their brand values and attract like-minded clients. By ensuring every aspect of your infographic is consistent, from the overall tone to fonts and colours, you’ll also build trust and familiarity.
